Privacy
Kocchi isn’t open yet: today we collect little, and we tell you all of it.
Who is responsible?
The data controller is Mehdi Bouchet, sole trader (details in the Legal notice). You can write to them at contact@kocchi.fr.
What we collect, why, and on what basis
- Sign-up for the opening: your email address, the language of the page, the dates of your sign-up and confirmation, and the text you agreed to. To tell you with a single email when Kocchi opens. Basis: your consent, given in two steps (a confirmation link sent by email).
- Contact form: your email address, the topic you chose, your message, the language and the date. To reply to you. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering the messages we are sent.
- Technical server logs: IP address, page requested, date. For security and troubleshooting. Basis: our legitimate interest. They are not used to track you.
- Anti-bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile): it blocks automated submissions on the sign-up and the form. It only loads when you use one of them. Cloudflare receives technical information from your browser, including your IP address. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
We collect nothing else, we don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who receives your data
Brevo sends our emails and keeps the sign-up list (a French company, servers in the European Union). Cloudflare runs the anti-bot check: your IP address may be processed outside the European Union, with the safeguards the law requires. OVH hosts the site. Brevo keeps its sending logs for a limited time, even after your address has been erased from the list.
For how long
- Unconfirmed sign-up: deleted after 7 days.
- Confirmed sign-up: until three months after Kocchi opens, or until you unsubscribe. In that case your address is erased straight away.
- Contact form messages: 12 months, in our database and in our mailbox.
- Technical logs: 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, limit its processing or object to it, and withdraw your consent at any time. To unsubscribe, use the link in every email: your address is erased immediately. For any other request, write to contact@kocchi.fr. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the CNIL at cnil.fr.
Cookies
Kocchi sets no tracking, advertising or audience-measurement cookies. Cloudflare’s anti-bot check may use temporary technical data needed for security.
If someone types your address
Anyone can type an address into the form. If you receive a confirmation email, or a “You’re already on the list” message, without asking for it, ignore it: your address is only added to the list after a click on the confirmation link. To have an address erased, write to us.
